I’m going to be honest, I was thinking that the entire episode.

In addition to it likely being weakened by being stuck for however long (surely it was using Struggle the entire time XD) and thus being easier to catch, even if it DID manage to break out of the pokeball, as long as the pokeball didn't land in the hole, then surely the Pokemon would re-appear outside of the hole. Though I'm sure in its excitement it would roll or bounce right back in...

But for real, how does it take MISTY of all people THAT long to think of catching a water type? She been hanging around Ash too long...

I mean I was thinking more along the lines of "why didn't they just whack it back in the sea with a move when it was bouncing?"

i'm hoping in the last 4 eps we atleas get to see Pigeot, Butterfree, and Primeape of Satoshi/Ash's pokemon with at least one ep devoted to see May & Max.

Butterfree was already shown. It was either in the last episode of Journey or the first of this "epilogue". There was a theme song playing and Satoshi meeting Butterfree with his scarf and his pink partner.

This was a pretty nice episode tbh. Loved seeing lapras return and seeing bayleef, heracross, kingler and torterra again after so long was rlly good. Torterra even learnt frenzy plant. Maybe he will finally win some battles now lol. The premise of this episode seemed kinda shaky to me tho. Why didn’t they just catch the wailmer/wailord and then release it?

* Team Rocket’s Counterattack! - Seeing how Ash has all of his Pokémon, Jessie and James decide to get some of their old Pokémon back together.
* Ash & Latios! - Ash and Latias reunite, as she asks Ash to help Latios escape from hunters…
* The Rainbow & the Pokémon Master! - Ash returns to Pallet Town, and wonders if he truly is a Pokémon master now.

Disappointed Dustox & Chimecho won't be reappearing. Unsure for Arbok & Weezing as that's a reach.

Definitely looking forward to the last episode with Ash/satoshi

personally i think team rocket kinda deserves getting some pack back at Ash or more specificly Pikachu for what he did this episode

Since I doubt there is gonna be anymore pokemon catching for Ash/Satoshi anyways other then the idea of he is gonna get that Latias that's following him.

It would have been really nice to finally see him catch all these amazing creatures for a change.

It was a nice episode especially with Lapras almost all of Ash original Kanto Team has appeared only left is Primeape.
We got Bayleef, Kingler, Heracross and Torterra on this episode.

While I know it was for the content, I couldn't help but think that using Brock Steelix would've made their work if freeing that Wailmer extremely easy.

Seems that Pikachu is fed up with Team Rocket antics, he wants a peaceful retirement without them bothering him.

The Steelix part could be argued that Brock lent it to his parents to defend the gym in a out of scene thing.

Should have use a pokeball to capture the wailord. He would have turned into energy and entered the pokeball and hence no longer stuck

Only character who could think of using a pokeball first thing in this anime would be Goh

I'm very very annoyed that Goh was brought up and upset that he would've been useful because solely for that.

Both Lapras and Bayleaf in one episode is a treat in itself. Kingler, Heracross, and SirFetched is never a problem here. Torterra doing I think Frenzy Plant that way was pretty awesome. Also....Pikachu is a savage and it was neccessary.

Also will say this is the first time hearing the Victory Road theme from the DPP series as well as the I believe the Petalburg City RSE theme as well.

All these episodes remind us, Ash became a pokemon master all along. His vague and so far away dream became true along time ago, he and we just did not realize it, but it finally becomes clear when he becomes the world champion and we see this episode.

He mature, learn, and taught and finally became what he always wanted to do.
